In this post I am going to be explaining all you need to know about jamb, jamb marks universities accepts for admission and the subject combination you have to choose if you are in your various department and how to choose those subjects.
JAMB
Joint admission and matriculation board popularly know as JAMB is known to be a Nigerian entrance examination board which allow Nigerians to be admitted into the tertiary-level institution.
This exams (unified tertiary examination) is said to be conducted by the board for focused undergraduates into Nigerian universities.
The board is also charged with the responsibility to administer similar examination for applicants of Nigerian private or public monotechnics, polytechnics and college of education.
It is said that all candidate who are to take part in the examination are said to have obtained the West African school examination (WAEC) or its equivalent National examination council (NECO).

The purpose of jamb is to pursue with integrity, vigour, commitment, dedication, transparency and selflessness the realization of the objective of a uniform standard in the matriculation examination and the placement of suitably qualified candidates into the nations tertiary institution.

Conducting of UTME
As I have said earlier jambs helps to conduct the unified tertiary matriculation examination which is said to posses a cut off mark and act as requirement for gaining admission into tertiary institution in Nigeria.
Jamb also appoints moderators, invigilators, examiners and members of the subjects panel and other personnel important for the smooth running of the examination
Ensure eligibility of candidate seeking admission into tertiary institution
Jamb helps to ensure candidates seeking admission into tertiary institution are eligible by applying in the following qualification and its equivalent as parts of its requirements for participation int the UTME examination and also to gain admission into tertiary institution.

Candidates who have sat or who are scheduled to sit for examination issuing any of this qualification in the year of application are also allowed to sit for the examination UTME.
Creation of admission requirements
Jamb works alongside other academic bodies to create requirements such as four/five relevant subjects and cut off marks to distinguish students suitable for universities from other as well as to ensure the intellectual property of students seeking admission into the tertiary institution is up to standard.
Syllabus development and review
This is one of the important thing that makes candidates who are willing to take part in the utme examination to pass the examination. This is because the syllabus which is being developed for utme candidates have a high rate of subjects which comes out in the examination.
That is why utme candidates are told to always read their syllabus so as to get high score in their utme examination.
Jamb constantly develops and review the syllabus in conjunction with the Nigerian Educational Resource And Development Centre (NERDC) and other stake holders to ensure the syllabus remains relevant and meet the current educatuional needs.
The syllabus also helps the candidates to prepare for the utme examination and also give students a guide on things they ought to know so as to pass their examination.
Registration Date For Jamb 2023/Direct Entry
Jamb registration for the year 2023 is said to begin on January 14th and end on February 14th 2023. The jamb CBT examination is said to start on 29th April of 2023 and ends on 12th of May 2023. This also means the form for the registration will be out on the same day as the registration.
When is jamb 2023 registration ready for direct entry? It has been confirmed that when jamb UTME registration starts by January 14th, Direct entry starts on Monday 20th January 2023 while the exam is said to hold in the fourth month of 2023 and end on the fifth month.
And also note that your NIN is compulsory when registering for your UTME examination.

Note that the jamb registration form is 3500 flat rate and also have it in mind that bank are going to charge you a token for bank service fee and you are to process your at an accredited centre for 700 naira. With this you are advised to budget 8000 naira to budget everything up.
Jamb Cutt Off Marks Accepted By University For Admission
Cut off marks can be explained as the minimum percentage of marks that the candidate should secure in order to get admission to their desired college, school, universities or any other institution.
Students are advised to score good marks of they wish to take up their desired course.
