IJMB

IJMB which is known as the Interim Joint Matriculation Board was established by the The Interim Common Services Agency (ICSA) in 1976 under statute 5 of the Ahmadu Bello University Law, the main aim of establishing the programme was to make it as an alternative A’ level examination for students or candidate who may wish to seek an undergraduate admission into Ahmadu Bello University and other university.

The programme is also established for students who have failed jamb for them to meet up with their fellow students who gained admission through jamb.

One of the benefits of IJMB is that, the programme is for 10 months after which successful candidate will gain admission into 200 level of any universities of his/her choice.

IJMB is certified by the Nigerian University Commission (NUC) as an advanced level program for Direct Entry (DE) admission into any university in Nigeria and this makes the IJMBE acceptable in both Federal, State and Private universities in Nigeria.

IJMB certificate is presently recognized and accepted in more than 80% of Nigeria federal, state and private Universities.

HOW ijmb WORKS/GRADE SYSTEM

In this aspect I will be explaining to you how ijmb works base on the way they give grades.

IJMB is said to be an alternative means which assures candidate to gain admission into 200 level instead of jamb. Ijmb grades the success of their students with the use of alphabet which ranges from A-F and each of this alphabet represent the number in which ijmb call points and this points determine if you are successful or not since the points determine the course you can apply for In any universities.

The total point in any a/ level programme is 15 points in which it was discovered that ijmb or jupeb adds 1 to any candidate who ensures he or she comes out successful without F which means fail.

IJMB FEE BREAKDOWN

This make a sum total of #263,000.

Note that the fee varies from study center to study center, university to university and state to state.

HOW TO MAKE GOOD GRADES IN IJMB

Always read your books after you are being taught a particular topic.

Take your assignment seriously ( This helps to give extra point)

HOW IJMB GRADES ARE CALCULATED

Students academic effort are interpreted into grades and point at the end of the programme below is a table explaining how ijmb grades are being calculated.

LETTER MARK INTERPRETATION GRADE

GRADE RANGE POINTS

•A 70+ Excellent 5

•B 60 - 69 V. Good 4

•C 50 - 59 Good 3

•D 45 - 49 Merit 2

•E 40 - 44 Pass 1

•F 0 - 39 Fail 0

Note that A point is given to a candidate who is devoid of an F grade. For example, a student who gets a b grade in all three subjects entered for has a point calculated as

4 + 4 + 4 + 1=13pts

REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE FOR IJMB 2023

The IJMB registration exercise for 2022/23 academic session is said to close Midnight of Friday 6th January, 2023. Interested applicants are to apply to any of the available affiliates private study centres nationwide.

Before you make payment. See that you are interested in available IJMB centres today to avoid wasting your money.

Pay for your registration fee

Fill out the form

Confirm your email by clicking on the verification link sent to your email address.

When you click on the confirmation link on your email inbox, you will be redirected to the page where you will select your centre and method of payment

Do that (select your preferred study centre and method of payment, if you have paid select any other method except Online payment if you have not paid, select Online payment to pay with your ATM card via paystack.

Then we will confirm your payment by activating your portal( for quick resolving, upload your payment evidence, screenshot, teller, are all accepted)

After that, you will be redirected to fill out the parent/guardian form

Then you will receive your admission letter in your email and will also be available on your IJMB portal to be downloaded and viewed anytime.

Then within 2 weeks, pay your acceptance

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION DATE FOR IJMB 2023

The only time the entrance examination date for IJMB can be determined is after the applicant have printed his or her registration slip that is because the date for the examination will be written in the new printed slip.

Note: This is to inform you that applicants are given different date for their ijmb entrance examination and are scheduled to hold on different date and time as depending on how there are being placed.

NABTEB

The National Busisness And Technical Examination Board which is known as (NABTEB) is said to be a Nigerian examination board which helps in conducting exam for technical and busisness innovation colleges in Nigeria.

NABTEB was established under the decree no . 70 of the 1992 constitution. It was discovered that the decree act mandated NABTEB with the responsibility to conduct technical and busisness innovation certificate examination hitherto being conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), London Royal Society of Arts, City and Guilds of London.

The programme was established during the regime of Nigeria former millitary head of state general Ibrahim Babangida.

The examination are conducted bianually May/June and November/December respectively.

The establishment of NABTEB is said to be an evolutionary process that spanned 15 years from 1972 to 1922 and in which four government panel at different times were set up to review the place and structure of public examination in Nigeria education system.

BENEFITS OF NABTEB FOR CANDIDATES 2023

The owner of NABTEB certificate now have brighter opportunities than their counterparts with only senior secondary school certificate (SSCE).

Unlike their counterparts who roam the streets in search of jobs after graduation. Graduates of Technical College with NABTEB certificates are more self-reliant and they usually secure employment without tears.

They are accorded priority attention in the disbursement of loans for the Federal Governments self employment Scheme because they possess the required skills for small scale entrepreneurship.

REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE FOR NABTEB 2023

From what I have said earlier NABTEB registration always takes place within one of these four months every year in which it is around May/June or November/December.

The same thing is bound to happen within one of this months this year and also closes some week after the registration.

We have not gotten any information about the registration date this year but be assured that this page will be updated when a result is found.
