IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT JUPEB 2023: HOW TO MAKE GOOD GRADES/BENEFITS, REG CLOSING DATE, ENTRANCE EXAM DATE AND UNIVERSITIES OFFERING JUPEB PROGRAMME
In this post I will be explaining all you need to know about jupeb which include things you have to do to get a good grade, the closing date for the registration, the entrance exam date and also list of universities that offers jupeb programme.
JUPEB
JUPEB which is known as the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board was introduced by the university of Lagos state (UNILAG) on December 2013, the programme is said to be introduced on April 2014 by an introduction of 10 partnering universities led by the universities of Lagos and till date jupeb is accepted among 95% universities in Nigeria.
One of the benefits of jupeb is that, the programme is for 10 months after which successful candidate will gain admission into 200 level of any universities of his/her choice.
Although universities like A.B.U Zaria do not accept jupeb and that is because they have their own A/level programme which is known as IJMB which is also like jupeb in the aspect of a successful candidate gaining admission into 200 level of any university.
HOW JUPEB WORKS
In this aspect I will be explaining to you how jamb works base on their the way they give grades.
Jupeb is said to be an alternative means which assures candidate to gain admission into 200 level instead of jamb. Jupeb grades the success of their students with the use of alphabet which ranges from A-F and each of this alphabet represent the number in which jupeb call points and this points determine if you are successful or not since the points determine the course you can apply for In any universities.
The total point in any a/ level programme is 15 points in which it was discovered that jupeb or ijmb adds 1 to any candidate who ensures he or she comes out successful without F which means fail.
JUPEB FEE BREAKDOWN
Here I am going to be explaining the fee breakdown for jupeb programme.
Application Fee 15,000
Acceptance Fee 20,000
School Fees 120,000
Hostel Fees 70,000(Optional)
Examination Fee 80,000
Text Book 25,000
The sum total of the jupeb school fees without accomodation is #255,000 however students are advised to go with the study center provided by the admission officer within their state since it is the candidate benefits. And also staying in the school accomodation plays a huge role in a student success.
Note that the jupeb school fees varies from state to state, center to center and university to university.
HOW TO MAKE GOOD GRADES IN JUPEB
In this post I am going to be explaining ways you can make good grades in jupeb and how grades are being calculated.

Always read ahead of your lecturers ( This will help you to be able understand the topics when you are being taught by your lecturers)
Always read your books after you are being taught a particular topic.
Take your assignment seriously ( This helps to give extra point)
Make sure you always try your best your test
Be determined

HOW JUPEB GRADES ARE CALCULATED
Students academic effort are interpreted into grades and point at the end of the programme below is a table explaining how jupeb grades are being calculated.

Note that A point is given to a candidate who is devoid of an F grade. For example, a student who gets a b grade in all three subjects entered for has a point calculated as
4 + 4 + 4 + 1=13pts
REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE FOR JUPEB 2023
The registration for jupeb is said to be closing Midnight of 2nd January 2023. The general public have been informed about this and applicants who are ready have been told to apply to any of the available private study centre nation wide.
But universities like OAU are closing their application portal on the 13th of January 2023.
REGISTRATION STEPS FOR JUPEB 2023
(Pre-Registration)- This is one of the registration whereby the applicants are to supply their preliminary details on the online form.
(Make Payment)- This is also one of the step of registration whereby applicants are told to pay an amount of 15,250 naira for the application.
(Payment Validation)- After a successful payment applicant will then be redirected to Payment validation page to fill in any requested details correctly to validate the payment. Once the payment have been validated applicant will receive an sms with their login pin.
(Completion Of Registration)- After your payment have been validated applicants are to click the on Registration Form to access the registration form, complete the online registration, print the application slip and proceed to their respective and chosen study centre location for clearance and resumption on the date stated on their applicant printout.
Documents that would be needed during the registration are:
Applicant biodata
O level subjects and grade ( Awaiting is allowed)
Passport photograph
Functional email address and teelephone number
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION DATE FOR JUPEB 2023
The only time the entrance examination date for jupeb can be determined is after the applicant have printed his or her registration slip that is because the date for the examination will be written in the new printed slip.
Note: This is to inform you that applicants are given different date for their jupeb entrance examination.
